This is a sweet 'candy' style raspberry with a slight astringency. It is very common in mixed fruit recipes and works well as a top note to a creamy base. Not the flavour to choose if you are looking for an authentic, natural raspberry - for that the Inawera Raspberry is preferred, but a good one if you are making confectionery style raspberry mixes.
