How to get better flavour and tips for the E-liquid connoisseur.

James Pawley

Everyone’s heard about cloud chasers and the idea of high VG e-liquids. But what if blowing enormous clouds isn’t your thing? Have you been wondering if vaping is still something for you? Of course, it is, you are just more of a flavour connoisseur. All you want to get out of your device is a nice flavour selection, that you’ve patiently brewed and steeped for the last two weeks.

We’ve prepared a couple of tips for every novice in flavour chasing.

Have your feet on the ground! No more high VG.

Cloud chasing took the vapers scene by storm. No wonder high VG e-liquids are leading on the vaping market. Unfortunately, there is no place for compromise, you’re either a cloud chaser or flavour chaser. The reason for that is simple, PG tends to carry the flavouring better. If you’re happy to sacrifice big vapour, you probably should choose a 50/50 or 70/30 PG/VG ratio in order to get more flavour from your vape.

Get the flow

Most of the tanks have adjustable airflow. The basic rule is simple – the more air coming through, the less flavour you get, but more clouds. Although, it all comes down to practise and experimentation of finding your favourite airflow, less airflow will make your vapor warmer and ‘deeper’ in flavour.

Get the right coil

Nickel or Kanthal is probably your best call as these two are less likely to affect flavour. You can read more about types of alloys and metal coils here. There is no better way of learning how to get the most flavour, then trying different temperatures and materials.

It’s hot stuff

The right temperature to heat up your e-juice in order to get the best flavour, is also something you will find out by trying different set ups on your device.

Connoisseur’s delicate buds

One of the most common syndrome in the vaping world is so called ‘vaper’s tongue’. Does it ever happen that your e-juice suddenly loses its flavour? Well, it was probably your tongue rather than the e-liquid.  After vaping the same flavour for a while, your taste buds can numb. The perfect way to refresh your senses is to switch to different e-liquids, but probably as a flavour enthusiast you have more than one favourite e-liquid maturing somewhere in a cupboard. Hydration is always good for your system, especially for your taste buds. If your fatigued tongue still won’t let you to enjoy your favourite flavours, then try to inhale the smell of fresh coffee or have some lemon water.
