Today marks a very special occasion for Make My Vape, we are celebrating 11 years of being in business and supplying our customers with the finest DIY vaping products available. What began as an idea, has grown into the UK's leading destination for e-liquid flavour concentrates, DIY mixing kits, VG/PG, Nicotine, E-liquids and DIY vaping accessories. We have helped thousands of vapers quit cigarettes, whilst saving you money doing it.

This 11 year milestone would not have been possible without our amazing and loyal Make My Vape community, for that we want to say a massive thank you. Since Make My Vape launched in 2014, the vaping industry has seen many big changes and we have faced them all. In 2016 the TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) was introduced. These brand new set of regulations changed the face of UK vaping, making sure the products that are being sold here in the UK are regulated through enhanced product quality. The TPD introduced bottle capacity limits for e-liquids containing nicotine to 10ml, maximum nicotine strength to 20mg/mL, 2ml tanks, packaging and label requirements, child safety features and e-liquid flavours to be submitted to the MHRA for toxicology data and emissions reports. This was a huge change in direction for all retailers and customers who were purchasing High VG e-liquids prefilled with Nicotine in large quantity bottles. This then introduced the mighty Shortfills that we all know today! Shortfills contain no Nicotine and only contain flavour concentrate with VG and PG, where you purchase TPD compliant unflavoured Nicotine Shots to mix into your e-liquid. We also saw the rise of Nicotine Salts over taking Freebase in popularity, Longfill e-liquids which only contain flavour concentrate making it a great choice for customer customisation with an array on Nicotine Shot bundles and cost effectiveness and the rise of disposable vapes which are now banned as of June 1st 2025.

When it comes to creating your own e-liquids, 'steeping' is a crucial part of the process and can transform your mix from 'Okay' to 'AMAZING'. Steeping can be frustrating as you have purchased everything you need, spent the time and money creating the flavour and you want to experience the result right away. But letting your e-liquid steep from 1-3 weeks dependant on flavour and being patient is one of the best kept secrets for your creation. We have introduced hundreds of single concentrate flavours to our Make My Vape offerings, allowing you to be creative and experiment with flavour combinations. If you prefer rich creamy desserts, lip smacking fruit or a in icy hit of menthol, balancing these flavours is everything to create the perfect flavour. From experience, when creating a new recipe with flavour combinations, it is best to create multiple 10ml batch's with different flavour percentages, note your recipes down and once steeped you can taste which one is best and then make the decision to adjust accordingly to make the flavour you intended. Vaping trends come and go, whether its e-liquid or hardware devices we are at the forefront of supplying what our customers require. Flavour trends like Custard dominated the e-liquid market for a longtime, followed by the Menthol/Koolada era and now we are seeing a big rise in tropical fruit flavours and dessert combinations. Regardless of trend, we are stocked up and ready for any flavour combination you require. We have recently been focusing on Longfills. Longfills are perfect for vapers who want to keep things simple, have creative freedom on Nicotine Shot bundles and enjoy their mouth to lung e-liquids in a bigger bottle.

One of the biggest things we have learned while mixing DIY e-liquids is that small tweaks to a recipe can make big changes! Sometimes the tiniest adjustment of adding 0.2% more sweetness or a little less menthol can completely change the mix.
For example, let's say you have a 'strawberry' flavour from a concentrate brand and you decide to use another company's strawberry at the same mix percentage, this will change the flavour slightly. Remember, taste is subjective. You may mix an e-liquid based on a recipe you have seen, but you may want to change accordingly to suit your preference.
